What We Are Looking For?

GIA Multimedia Services Limited is looking for a skilled web developer who will be responsible for developing and/or designing websites for our company. You will have proven experience in website development (frontend and backend), SEO (Analytics, On-Page SEO), creating UI designs and visuals using Figma and reports using Google Slides.

You will be working alongside a team of other developers in creating, maintaining, and updating our websites.

In order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to be proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and have solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.

Web Developer Responsibilities:

  • Website and software application designing, building, or maintaining.
  • Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.
  • Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
  • Directing or performing Website updates.
  • Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
  • Editing, writing, or designing Website content, and directing team members who produce content.
  • Maintaining an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.
  • Back up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery.
  • Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing, and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
  • Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
  • Determining user needs by analyzing technical requirements.

What will you be doing?

  • Design and build /develop websites, e-commerce sites, based on requirements
  • Find the best technical solutions for project needs
  • Create user manuals and documentation
  • Optimise SEO of websites, manage Google Analytics, Search Console and provide our content marketing team strategic guidance for Content development
  • Create responsive websites based on custom designs using Figma, HTML5, CSS3 / Vanilla JS / PHP
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic objectives in marketing, business development, and direction
  • Support colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the consultancy as and when the need arises and provide cross-functional support and work in delivery across the service portfolio if required.

What do we need?

  • SEO expertise
  • PHP
  • Monolithic and headless CMS experience (WP, Drupal)
  • E-commerce (Woocommerce, Shopify / Magento)
  • Javascript
  • CSS3/HTML5
  • Node.js / Angular / Vue / React
  • Figma / Adobe Photoshop
  • FTP / Github
  • PR agency experience will be preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to think outside of the box when problem solving, yet be able to identify, respect and work creatively within boundaries
  • Capable of multitasking with high attention to detail
  • Ability to plan and present highly complex presentations
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any stream
  • Strong commitment to professional standards and ethics
  • High proficiency in written and verbal English

Web Developer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web development or related field, or relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Proficient in My SQL.
