What are we looking for?
GIA Multimedia Services Limited is looking for a Marketing Manager with proven experience in writing longform blog posts, opinion pieces, social media posts, email newsletters and other written content and marketing content to join a fast-paced, global team of PR experts. Our marketing executive is a professional who plans, develops and oversees the overall marketing strategies and campaigns to promote our company’s brands, products or services.
What will you be doing?
- Research: Keep abreast of current affairs, client portfolio, market developments, competitor landscape and, key dates. conducting research and analysing data to identify and define audiences
- Planning: Create detailed quarterly marketing plans with clear communication objectives to engage stakeholders
- Social media: Create weekly social media content calendars that are relevant and engaging
- Podcasts: Book guests, assist in interview preparation and, attend and edit recordings
- Newsletter: Draft and design the monthly newsletter
- Blog: Weekly blogs for PR Insider and managing the blog channel
- Website: Managing the GIA Multimedia Services Limited and FB website and working with head of digital.
- Media Relations: Research and write press releases, briefing notes, media pitches, op-eds; respond to media requests
- Awards and speaker opportunities: Research and draft applications, presentations and panel discussions
- Measurement: Measure KPIs and metrics across communications channels
- Evaluation: Prepare quarterly reviews
- Support colleagues with additional services if and when the need arises
- Events:
organising events and product exhibitions
CRM:
- updating databases and using a customer relationship management (CRM) system
- coordinating internal marketing and an organisation’s culture
- monitoring performance
- managing campaigns on social media.
What do we need?
- Good at content writing and marketing, with experience working on long form blog posts, opinion pieces, social media posts, email newsletters and other written content
- Excellent communicator with an eye for detail
- High proficiency in written and verbal English
- Excellent at time and project management with an ability to work remotely and meet deadlines
- Interested and knowledgeable about PR, communication, reputation management and marketing
- Strong editorial mindset with an ability to ensure high standards of written and visual content
- Good at research and initiative to actively seek out and apply for speaking opps, awards, media relations opportunities, etc.
- Have a finger on the pulse of global news, especially Nigeria news, to create relevant and timely content for blog, social media, podcast and media pitches
- Data-driven marketing experience. Ability to set clear objectives and KPIs, use research to create strategy and plans, and measure and evaluate to inform future efforts
- Capable of multitasking with high attention to detail
- A supportive team player able to demonstrate experience of building a collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any stream
- Strong commitment to professional standards and ethics
You have the requisite experience in:
- Minimum experience of 2-3 years in content writing/ journalism/ PR/ Marketing
- Working with diverse and distributed teams in a similar environment
- Experience using marketing and PR tools like Sprout Social, Google Analytics and Gorkana
- Experience in working with a PR agency is preferred but not mandatory
